We have a new site as well as a new boat for the 2019 Chesapeake Bay Fishing Season. We begin the 2019 Season on April 20 with the highly anticipated and ever popular Chesapeake Bay Trophy Striped Bass Season. This season runs April 20 – May 15 and offers anglers the opportunity at the larger migratory Striped Bass that are headed back out to the Atlantic Ocean after spawning in the Chesapeake Bay’s tributaries. These Trophy Striped Bass or Rockfish, as referred to by locals, are required by the state to be a minimum of 35″ to keep and anglers may keep (1) fish per person, per day.
Beginning May 16, our striped bass size limit drops to a minimum 19″ fish and creel limit increases to (2) fish per person. Dates are currently filling up for April, May and June at this time so give us a call, text or email to pick your date!
Pictured is the 2018 Rod n Reel Pro Am Fishing Tournament winning Rockfish caught aboard the Miss Lizzy with Captain Shawn Gibson and long time Wound Tight charter friends Ron Wilkes, Dave Payne, Robbie Gunther and Tom Purdy. This fish weighed over 48lbs and won this crew over $50,000!
