We wrapped up another Chesapeake Bay Striped Bass trophy season on May 15 and welcomed the summer striped bass (2 fish) season on May 16. The good news is, the school size rockfish are very plentiful and providing lots of action while trolling.
Black drum are being caught in the lower bay and I hope that is a positive indicator for what we can expect in the coming weeks here in the upper bay. We will spend some extra time on our all day trips looking for black drum.
White Perch should be in the shallow areas and the spinning gear will be on the boat for this Memorial Day weekend. The headboat, Miss Lizzy, will begin her bottom fishing season from Rod n Reel Marina in Chesapeake Beach on Saturday May 25.
Give is a call to schedule your Chesapeake Bay Charter Fishing Trip.
